How to listen

For those of you have had trouble listening to KBS broadcasts online (I'm one of you!), Jim DiTulio has outlined the steps he took to successfully access the audio files. Hope this helps!

Abby,
Here is where I found your online radio program. Go to this link http://world.kbs.co.kr/english/index.htm
Then go to the light green box on the right and select "How to Listen" , a new window should open up and in the top right hand corner you can select the language. Once you select English you should be sent back to the home page. Now you can either click on "Today's Program" or if you want to hear previous broadcasts (such as your first one on 10/1/07) click on " Listen again", click the tab down button and select "News". Family and friends will need to do this ASAP to hear your first broadcast because only the previous 4 days are available.
Once you select "Today's program" or "News" a new window will open in the left hand corner. If your computer blocks pop up windows, you will have to allow the pop ups. This window should be blue and labeled KBS World Radio AOD Player . In that window you will be given the option of an add on. It reads This website wants to run the following add on: "Windows Media Player Extension" Click on this and select Run Active X Control, a security warning will come up, and choose the Run option.
In testing these instructions I have discovered that sometimes the windows will not open up so you may have to start the process over. Hope that helps. I have yet to find your second broadcast which you said was in the afternoon. Let me know if someone locates that. It has been a real kick to hear you doing your thing. We are all proud of you, and hope you will not instigate too many conflicts between the North and South.
Jim
